Tesla тестирует новую систему, которая сделает машины компании полностью автономными

Запуск финальной версии Full Self-Driving в США намечен на середину декабря этого года.

Американская компания Tesla начала бета-тестирование нового автопилота — системы Full Self-Driving (полностью самостоятельное вождение). Об этом в своем твиттере сообщил Илон Маск, добавив, что разработку будут внедрять «очень медленно и осторожно».

Подробности работы новой системы автономного управления пока не известны. Скорее всего, в Full Self-Driving расширят возможности функции проактивного реагирования на сигналы светофоров и дорожные знаки. Вместе с функцией «Навигация по автопилоту» (Navigate on Autopilot) это даст машинам Tesla возможность передвигаться без вмешательства водителя не только по магистралям, но и по улицам городов.

Пока что бета-тестирование проходит на ограниченном числе автомобилей. Расширенные испытания стартуют через четыре-шесть недель, а запуск финальной версии Full Self-Driving в Соединенных Штатах намечен на середину декабря этого года. От успешности внедрения нового автопилота во многом зависит судьба сервиса роботизированных такси Tesla Network, который может появиться уже в следующем году.

Стоит отметить, что изначально Илон Маск обещал сделать машины Tesla полностью автономными к 2017 году. Видимо, пословица «обещанного три года ждут» — как раз про него.
