Японские поисковики обнаружили капсулу с образцами грунта астероида Рюгу

Поиски продолжались час с участием вертолета. Ученые надеются получить ответ на вопрос о распространении жизни во Вселенной.

Капсула с образцами грунта, взятого японским космическим зондом Хаябуса-2 с поверхности астероида Рюгу и приземлившаяся на территории запретной зоны Вумера на юге Австралии, обнаружена японскими поисковиками, пишет Интерфакс-Украина.

Поиски продолжались чуть больше часа в темное время суток. Для этого использовали вертолет и технические средства.

«Сегодня в 04:31 по японскому времени все операции, связанные с возвращением капсулы, закончились. Операция прошла идеально», — говорится в Twitter миссии.

Напомним, что зонд Хаябуса-2 был запущен к астероиду Рюгу, который находится на расстоянии 340 миллионов километров от Земли, в декабре 2014 года. В 2019 году зонд собрал фрагменты грунта астероида.

По итогам миссии ученые надеются обнаружить следы воды или органических веществ, что может дать ответ на вопрос о распространении жизни во Вселенной.

Между тем, зонд Хаябуса-2 обогнул Землю и направился к следующему астероиду — 1998 KY26, который находится на орбите между Землей и Марсом. Планируется, что астероида он достигнет в 2031 году. Ученые также планируют сделать забор грунта.

Также сообщалось, что китайский зонд Chang’e-5 собрал образцы грунта Луны.
